How can i change the keyboard settings on windowxp.I have to use the shift key and number 2 for the @ sign.?

i go into my control panel,into the keyboard icon and all that comes up is the speed and hardware. i have been informed it is set on the wrong language,please help.How can i change the keyboard settings on windowxp.I have to use the shift key and number 2 for the @ sign.?

Select Languages tab then details button



If the keyboard you are using is available in the dropdown box, select it. If not click Add and choose the keyboard you are using, then select in the dropdown box.

go to control panel and then regional and language settings and enter the correct countries, it sounds like either you are in the uk and the keyboard is set to usa or the other way around
