How do i type with the japanese letters?

I have the japanese language pack installed. I can view the characters in internet but i cant set up my keyboard to type in japanese. I went to the control panel and regional and language options and i have it set up there but when i change the keyboard to japanese it still types with latin letters. I also have bulgarian keyboard as well and i have no problems with it. I read that u can convert the Romaji to Hiragana or Katakana but i dunno how that works. Can someone help?How do i type with the japanese letters?
I think it may only be for reading and not typing.



Consult the manual for troubleshooting stuff if all else fails or some info program that came with the program.

There is a keyboard layout setting that you can change.

- Go to control panel and double click on 'regional and language settings'

- Click on the 'keyboard and languages' tab

- click the 'change keyboards'

- click the 'add' button

- Choose the german language and click the checkbox with your preferences.

- Makesure that once you clicked ok on the last box(Add input Language), choose 'German (Germany)' from the drop down box; under the 'Default Input Language'.

- Click apply then ok, go and test it using any typing application. such as word or notepad, you will see the changes, I did this as I was explaining it to you and it works. ;)

Note: This was done with Windows Vista Home Premium, windows xp may be similar but there might be some differences; you get the idea.



From what I know there is a full list of languages there, and Germany is not an exception. Makesure to use the 'add' option. and Then find your language.

How to write vietnamese in photoshop?

I know how to write vietnamese on my keyboard in such program like office, or in internet browser.. but i can only use arial. I'm using photoshop very often and I want to be able to use different fonts there~

What more.. I'm not using any unicode program such as unikey, just simply changing my keyboard on language toolbar. Photoshop is not compatible with that =.='

You should be able to use any Vietnamese character from many Unicode fonts in Microsoft Office, OpenOffice.org, web pages, and in Photoshop, not just Arial.



Are you using VISCII Vietnamese fonts, or VPS Vietnamese fonts, or ABC Vietnamese fonts? That may be your trouble.



Do not use anything but Unicode-compatible fonts and do not use software that does not understand Unicode. How do I change regional (not keyboard) settings in WinXP?

I am using WinXP SP2 and, while the Windows Explorer menus are all in English, something has been set to German which I can't figure. For example, when I open Internet Explorer and do a search in Google, I get results in German. When I install Photoshop, all the menus are in German. What's maddening is that, while Photoshop normally grants the option of choosing a language during installation, this is bypassed for me and the default is still German!



I'm merely using Photoshp as an example. There is some kind of regional setting which makes applications default to German and I can't figure it out. Can anyone help?

If it's a new computer, maybe you should get a new keyboard. At least try a diferent keyboard to see if your problem is hardware or software. What do you suppose will stop working NEXT week? At the moment, it's still partly the dealer's problem.

I am having some problems with my laptop.

I was typing and I hit a keypad command by mistake, and now the letters on the keypad do not match up to the letters I see on the screen. (I am using a different computer as it is impossible to wright anything readable on my laptop) I went to help and support, and found a troubleshoot about keyboards, and it told me to change my keyboard layout via some input language thing. I went to the %26quot;text services and input language%26quot; place and put it to English, but the problem is still there.

I have either done the input language settings thing incorrectly, if so can I have an explanation of how to do it, or something else I can do to fix it.

You'll need to download something that lets your computer interperet keystrokes in the hebrew character set. I'm assuming you're in windows... This article may help-

This is a rather complicated question which may require some more information from you in order to get an easy answer. You say this acer laptop does not have windows on it. This means that it probably came with a version of linux installed. If you want to you can purchase a version of windows and install it if you want. As for the keyboard issue we would probably need to know what version of linux you have in order to figure that out.

I did use linux for a while and found that you were able to select your language at start up and through the options menu and this fixed the layout of the keyboard.

You have to find the keyboard setup.

So Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, then Language tab, then Details.

You can then see what keyboard setups are available. Make sure that UK keyboard is selected.



If you never want US keyboard then Remove it. It may say that you need to reboot to complete the action.

I recomend purchasing antivirus / firewall from a RELIABLE vendor such as McAfee or Norton.. etc... properly configuring it to scan for PuPs and for automatically updating itself...

Spybot is fine for anti-spyware and anti-adware but if you have avirus it will not help.



You MUST uninstall all that freeware crap and get a reliable tool or stop posting asking for help and get a technician who will do it for you for more money.



Turn off system restore until the infection is gone, otherwise you will reinfect yourself.. once clean re-enable and create a clean restore point.

Once you have a proper tool installed and properly configured... force and update and perform a complete scan.

Select 'Regional and Language Options'I have a Brazilian keyboard and the default language is English?
Click on 'PT', that very same language icon that you have on your task bar. In it you'll see 'SHOW LANGUAGE BAR'. Click on that and the PT will become a sort of yellowish bar atop the right side of your screen.



Click on the downside arrow. There you'll see 'Configurations'. Click on that and restore whatever language you prefer for you keyboard.

Okay so for years now I've had all my computers work in french but I just can't take it anymore, so I went looking on how to do so and it said you need to go to control panel etc. problem is, like many others the option of changing the language isn't in the keyboard%26amp;languages section.... It should either ask you to choose operating language or restart in English. If this doesn't work, go and buy a new OS in English, backup all your data and uninstall all applications. This is most probably something to do with the keyboard itself and its drivers, not your computer settings. I would suggest buying another keyboard if you're on a PC or buying a plug in USB keyboard for a laptop.How can i fix my keyboard...?

this may sound silly but on some laptop @ is on the 2 button. so if u plugged a keyboard into it and it said on that board @ on top of the ' instead of the 2 it would use the programming used on the laptops keyboard instead. its like the laptops keyboard overrides the mobile keyboard. This happened to me, because i used it on a desk.

Hello guys, I wanna ask how to solve my problem regarding my keyboard. First of all , my keyboard works smooth when i try to turn on my computer.. i tried to play some games but after few min/ hours had passed my keyboard starts to malfunction. For example. when im pressing some keys like, W, R, spacebar, etc. The esc(escape) key triggers which leads on pausing my game.. I already tried it different games and it also occurs. Then i tried typing on word and some of my keys like the letter 'C' produces some character that can only be generated using ( ALT+ the numpad).. i also tried to restart my computer and it also runs smoothly in the first place but likewise after a few hrs the problem occurs again. You will have to get an English version.

But, now I can't get it to go back properly. If you're running vista, there should be a little icon of a keyboard down by the clock on the bottom right of your screen. Click on it, select USA. That should fix the problem.

I am using my computer with my Turkish keyboard. Since the difference is minimal I can use my keyboard in its original layout and type both in English and Turkish. So I am not swapping keyboard layouts according to the language I type.

But office seems to set it automatically to keyboard layout language and starts underlining every word I type when I'm writing in English (Which I do mostly) In most of the programs it is minor inconvenience. But for M.S. Visio it becomes a real pain. as Visio requires you to set language box by box and each time I edit a box it resets to Turkish please offer some way to solve this.How to stop M.S. Usually, there's no way. I'm German, and I got used to an American Word 2007 with all that %26quot;strange%26quot; paper sizes, and no spell check. You have to buy the nationalized add-ons separately, and Microsoft will charge you for that. I didn't see a reason for that and just worked around it, by just defining German paper sizes as the default. But I still have no spell check, and the menus are in English.

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx notebook, with Vista Home Premium.

I bought the notebook here in NYC so of course the language is in English; but I'm a native of Sicily, Italy.



I was wondering if there is a way that I could change the language in my notebook from English to Italian?



I know that you can change how the clock it set, the country, keyboard, ect,..



But what I'm wondering is how I could change the language to where, when you log in and it says %26quot;welcome%26quot; how I could make it so it would say %26quot;benvenuto%26quot;? Is there anyway I could do this?



I'm not really good with technical aspects of a computer, so if there is anyway to do this, I'm going to need a little explaining...

To change the Menus and Interface of Vista to Italian from English, you need to use the Language pack.

Here is a link on how to do it, but I am afraid Microsoft messed up with this as much as they did with the whole thing of Vista, so it's not too easy to do.

You can then add the language that you want and use the Language Bar to switch between the languages that you have installed. Why is my keyboard icon gone?

I'm having the same problem on MSN where my question mark turns out to be an 脡, and so on and so forth.

I know how to fix it - click my keyboard icon, change my language back to English.

The only problem is.. I can't find my keyboard icon. I know what it is, it's not like I'm just not noticing it.. it's there if I make a new user on my laptop.

I've been trying to get it back, by going to properties and such.. but no luck.
