need to write an essay in german and luckily was able to change the keyboard from contro panel so i can write 枚眉盲 , now how do i do spell check . within Words when i do that it say the tool is not available for german spell check . how can i do that for free ?Changed keyboard for language and still need to find ways of spell check. how do i do that?
German spellcheckers: (free?!) with Mozilla/Netscape programs and Open Office.
New spelling: Seamonkey German version 1.) or German Thunderbird mail. Download of spelling module it is normally sufficiant for any language version. So You can also add the German spelling module to the English version ;-) / Seamonkey de-AT has by default the de-AT, de-CH %26amp; de-DE spell checkers (it is maintained by R. Kaiser an Austrian ). Thunderbird has only de-DE module.
BTW. If You have these tools; they can code html (insert html). Now You can also use English keybord: %26amp; szlig ; is the diatypical double s letter %26amp; uuml ; is the 眉 %26amp; Uuml ; is the capital 脺 ... The html codes are written without spaces - but this page does not let me. List e. g. at 2.). It contains all escape characters. I use html code when i have to use an English keyboard.
OpenOffice is big to download. But ist is also free and a German spelling module is available.
A very good free older German spelling: Netscape 4.78 composer and mail module. (German spelling had a reform recently).
